Emotional healing deals with the "spirit of the law", not so much the "letter of the law." The Spirit is able to break through bondages, pull down strongholds, and identify false ideas and erroneous concepts.
Through biblical teaching, loving correction, healthy debate and scientific observations, we are able to win the battle of the mind to Christ.
It is important to teach that our sinful choices shouldn't be blamed on others. At some point during our lives, we must determine to take responsibility for ourselves. When we have come to this realization, it is also important to understand why we made such poor choices.
When Jesus confronted the woman who had been caught in the act of adultery, he used the law not to condemn, but instead to help her recognize the wrong and tell her to "go and sin no more". True emotional healing gets to the root issue, tears down strong holds of false philosophies and breaks bondages which would otherwise hold a person hostage for life.
